Our Leather Guitar Strap

    Leathersmith Designs has been designing a unique leather guitar strap for each customer since 1975.  Our leather guitar strap is made of durable genuine cowhide and adjusts to your personal length from 37 inches to 52 inches.  This is the standard guitar strap length that the majority of people wear.  However we can custom cut an x-long guitar strap if required for an additional charge.  Each leather guitar strap begins by our crafter individually picking the appropriate hide from our inventory to have the design cut.  Depending on the style, it will undergo the following steps with hand tools of being individually imprinted, dyed, oiled, polished, sewn, beveled, edge coated, riveted and holes punched.

A hand stamped design runs through the center of this beautiful leather guitar strap which is 1 1/2" wide.  Customize your leather guitar strap by picking through the following three options:

Top Leather Color:  Choices are Black, Brown, Burgundy, Blue, Red or Natural Oil.

Buckle Color:  Your choice of a gold or silver buckle allows adjustment for your comfort.  

Underside Lining:  The underside is unlined natural leather color.  You can choose to have it lined with soft garment leather.

Adjustment Length:  The buckle allows you to adjust the strap from 37 inches to 52 inches.  This is the standard guitar strap length that the majority of people wear.  However we can custom cut an extra long guitar strap if required for an additional charge.

Your leather guitar strap will be 2 3/4" wide with a 1" adjustable strap.  Customize it with the following  options:

Top Leather Color:  Choices are Black, Brown, Burgundy, Blue, Red or Natural Oil.

Thread Color:  Blend the thread with the leather color or contrast it with blue, black, red, brown, burgundy or beige colored thread.  The underneath thread color can be the same or different color than the thread on the top side.

Underside Lining:  The underside is unlined natural leather color.  You can choose to have it lined with soft garment leather and foam padding.  Sheepskin lining in the shoulder area also makes a nice padding.

Adjustment Length:  The buckle allows you to adjust the leather guitar strap from 37 inches to 52 inches.  This is the standard guitar strap length that the majority of people wear.  However we can custom cut an extra long guitar strap if required for an additional charge.

Personalized Adjustment Strap:  See information further down the page about this option should you want a name discreetly etched the same color as the leather.

• Our leather guitar strap are made unlined with smooth natural colored leather showing underneath unless other wise specified.

• Should you want the underneath side of your leather guitar strap lined with black, brown, burgundy or blue garment leather, there is an additional charge of $ 30.00 Canadian currency.

• If you want just the shoulder area of your leather guitar strap lined with sheepskin, there is an additional charge of $ 30.00 Canadian currency.  Sheepskin makes a nice soft padding for your shoulder.

• If you want the leather guitar strap padded with a soft foam, a soft leather lining will cover the padding on the underneath side.  This quality 1/4 inch thick foam has lots of memory so it will not stay compressed after lots of use.  The additional charge for including a leather padding with leather lining is an additional charge of $40.00 Canadian currency.
